Willkommen! Be sure to attend the PCHCAS’s annual Oktoberfest event! The free event, will commence Saturday, October 3rd, from noon until six p.m. As always, Oktoberfest will be held at the “Pigfoot Square” at the intersection of U.S. Rt. 22 and Rt. 668, in the green space adjacent to the historic, Jacob Miller Tavern, in the heart of historical Somerset, Ohio.
Come, spend the day meandering about the quaint Pigfoot Square, an original pioneer market place! We believe there is no better way to celebrate our German Appalachian cultural heritage than Oktoberfest. Come, enjoy a special day, and watch as history comes to life through a lively celebration, honoring the area’s rich, Germanic pioneer history. The event will feature many mouth watering, authentic German foods, pioneer heritage arts/living history demonstrations, music, crafts, vendors, and of course, Perry County hospitality! Fun for all ages!
